DAY 4

I stayed home yesterday and didn't go to the gym because i waaay over did it on Day 2. So by trial and error I know now its cardio every other day not every day because I really fucked up my legs HA HA i could barely walk. But right back at it again today got to the gym around 6pm and just warmed up on my own because my trainer wont get there until 630. I learned a few new ways to wrap my hands up for a fight its cool and they protect your hands alot more than what I have been doing so far. So I found me a heavy bad and started warming up then more people started coming in. Its nice when people say hi and call you by your name like your somebody when they are Famous and your not lol..Maybe im crazy hell who knows lol FUCK IT 630 Time to DO WORK and the hell if I didn't.
Damn she had me doing 5 hit combos with a sprawl at the end and finish with 2 push ups lol I had to do that for 3 minuets straight. Then Kick Combos for another 3 min. with squats in between sets lol i don't know who pissed her off today but damn them to hell. We finished up around 745 and I was dead ass tired lol I went in the bathroom and washed my hands and face we even have a shower in the locker room if people wanna use it. I always wash my hands and face after we are done because I'm real paranoid about staff because its the biggest thing you gotta worry about in the gym.
Normally I would stick around and watch the BJJ class or just shoot the shit but I needed to get home tonight I promised my nephews that i would take them swimming so I just burned off but on the way out the door i grabbed a flyer off the front desk. Its for customer appreciation day at OTM(On The Mat) there will be a big ass Bar B Q and Lots of pro fighters there. Its on Saturday same as UFC 94 so I know where ill be, getting that damn Bar B Q and trying to make a few friends since i really don't know anyone here lol. And its on Saturday night the fight will be off the damn chain GSP all the way BJ Penn stands no chance...Watch you'll see..
But anyways I got home changed and went down to the pool and DAMN it was a little cold so we hit the hot tub lol that felt really good I wish I could get into a sauna but i cant find anyplace that has one.....O well tomorrows another day

DAY 2

I woke up a little sore yesterday but not to bad. Ive been try in to keep to a decent diet so ill wake up around 8 and make me a Vitamin shake for my breakfast eat a small snack 3 hours later then a Protein shake for lunch another small snake and a good dinner. Hopefully i can knock off this weight i need to lose as soon as i can. Got to the gym around 5:30 at night Ready to work In my short t shirt and a beanie Ive been thinking of getting a sauna suit so i can sweat more but i don't know well see how it gos..My plan is to Have my training sessions Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and then just do weight training Tuesday and Thursday. Well i decided to do more cardio and busted my ass on the Cross trainer I did 4 miles and burned 500 cal. i think and damn i was so tired but i still jumped on the tread mill and did another mile.
After that I did some weight training but just worked on my uperbody mostly. When I finished I went over to watch the BJJ class and one of the Teachers came over to me and introduced him self hit name was "LunchBox" lol but he was cool as shit. He was telling me i should be in the class instead of watching it but i told him i would I just need to get my money right first lol. Then he told me to keep it on the LOW but if i really wanted to i could just sneak in the class....and if they catch me just blame it on him lol. He went over to the other teacher and brought him over to meet me His name was Paul, he is from Brazil and has a Very thick accent so you gotta listen real careful when he talks or you'll miss what he said completely lol But a really nice guy.
He started talking about the gym and what they stand for in the world of MMA. He told me that everyone at the gym is your "TEAMMATE" We all train together so we have to get to know one another on a personal level so we can trust to Because a team can never make it if they don't trust one another. He told me about the dozen or so Pro fighters that train with us i was really surprised to here how many there were. Then he went back to teaching the class with lunchbox and damn they do a hell of a workout. I watched the class until about 8 then headed home to shower and get some sleep. DAMN I'm going to be so sore tomorrow...

DAY 1

I started my training today and it felt grate. I got to the gym around six o'clock but my session didn't start until six thirty so i just hung out and talked to the guys up front. The guy at the front desk is name is Mike and hes koo as hell he told me that he wasn't training there for a month before he found himself training with "TITO ORTIZ" and "RAZOR ROB" So just before 630 I ran out to my car and grabbed my gloves and wraps and ran back in found me a heavy bag and got to work. SHIT you really realize how out of shape you truly are when you get back in the gym.
I had a woman trainer and damn this girl is good she worked my ass to death i almost had to crawl off the mat. The inside of the gym is like nothing Ive ever seen before we have a full size boxing ring, octagon and a 40ft x 40ft Mat area for BJJ. Its amazing I put a few pictures at the bottom of this post so you can see what I see just in case i cant paint the picture for you to imagine it. Right after my class i watched the BJJ class after that and I could watch that all day long well after that class Mike the guy from the front desk came over to me and asked if I had met "Rob" yet? Damn i didn't even know that he had came in he was over in the Octagon working on drills with his trainer. So mike took me over and introduced me to him he was sprawling and he just stoped and came over to shake my hand and welcome me to the gym. We had some small talk and he told me to stick around and watch him train.

I set there for over an hour just watching and damn, that shit was crazy and I loved it. After they were done I headed out the door but i was stoped by TIKI Ghosn hes another Fighter who fights for WEC like Rob. Mike had been talking to him about me and he couldn't believe that I came from Texas to train and he just had to see if I talked with a country twang HA HA. He was real koo to until he try ed to take my shirt HA HA one of his sponsors is "Triumph United" and that what my shirt was but he didn't have it so he was jealous lol...All in All it was a damn good day i trained my ass off and got to met the fighters that motivate me the most..

The Prequel

Fighting has always been a dream of mine since before i can even remember. Whether it was boxing, or wrestling I loved it everything about just amazed me. I was introduced to MMA back in 2000 and i knew then that I wanted that to be me, in the ring, under the lights and surrounded by thousands of screaming fans. I always loved to compete in almost everything I did. And now MMA opened up a whole new world for me with so many different fighting styles and ways to compete using them. I wanted to do what i love and get paid for it because to many people in this world just Settle... To pay the bills they work day in and day out at jobs that go absolutely NOWHERE, for whatever the reason may be I never wanted that to be me i told myself that I would refuse to settle.
I think my biggest influence to follow my dream was my uncle. He showed me that if you have a dream that only you can make it happen, he wanted to race Super Sport Bikes professionally an he did. It took him a few years but he made it to the top with the best of the best and he never gave up. He taught me that no one will do the work for you or snap their fingers and make you famous its completely on ME to make my dreams come true. SO....9 years, 2000 miles, and a criminal record later i finally pulled my head out of my ass and got my shit together.
I'm from the south, Dallas TEXAS to be exact and a year ago i moved to Houston thinking I could start my life over from scratch and pursue my dream of fighting. Um NO didn't quit work out like I thought it would HA HA I ended of in a whole lot of SHIT and was sent to jail for a little while to think about what i did. Well that was it for me, NO MORE!! no more bullshit, no more excuses, no more anything it was time i took real control of my life and like my uncle taught me make my dreams come true. So December 2 2008 my birthday i was released from jail and not 3 days later i was packed and moving my shit back to Dallas. I saw my family for the holidays put my shit in storage and got on the road California for 1 because theres not many places to train in Texas and 2 my sister already lived there.
My favorite fighters by far are Randy Couture and "Razor" Rob McCullough. Randy trains in Vegas and Rob is in Huntington Beach California at a Gym Called "Huntington Beach Ultimate Training Center" so that's where I'm going, to be one of the best train with the best. Wish me luck and hope I don't lose my teeth ha ha.
